DMA’s founder Rob Beynon is an experienced TV executive who has overseen dozens of news and factual channel start-ups. He is an expert at broadcast and digital strategy, building and managing teams, and has an unrivalled knowledge of international markets.
Rob has managed news channels and programmes for the BBC, ITN, Sky, Star TV, Bloomberg, Dow Jones and CNBC.
As DMA’s chief executive he has been personally involved in all the company’s major launches. He oversaw the team behind Rudaw TV, the news and multimedia service in Iraqi Kurdistan, where DMA has been the media partner after five years. He sourced and managed a 30-strong team to launch and produce news output for Arise TV, owned by a Nigerian company and with offices in New York, London, Johannesburg, Lagos and Nairobi. He also ran a recent project with Thomson Reuters to launch an English language news channel for the state broadcaster TRT.
Richard Sambrook is one of the world’s most renowned news media executives. He spent 30 years as a journalist and senior executive at the BBC. He was successively Director of BBC Sport, BBC News and, latterly, Director of BBC World Service and Global News where he oversaw the growth of the BBC’s commercial news operations.
After leaving the BBC he was Global Vice Chairman and Chief Content Officer of the Edelman public relations agency, where he spearheaded the use of digital content by global brands. He is now the Professor of Journalism and Director of the Centre for Journalism at Cardiff School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies (Cardiff University). He is also a Visiting Fellow at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, Oxford University. He is a respected thought leader in digital media and a regular contributor at global industry forums.
Mark is DMA Media’s Commercial Director. Before joining the company, he served as CFO at TNCI UK, a company which delivered content to rail and other transport operators. Earlier he was Finance and Commercial VP (EMEAA) at Worldspan, a leading worldwide travel technology company, where he oversaw operations in more than 40 countries. Mark was one of the initial management team tasked with growing the company’s global reach.
He has served on the boards of numerous private and publicly listed companies in many countries, covering the media, technology, travel, property and logistics, and has been an integral part of their growth.
Mark is responsible for strategic partnerships, the DMA Associates programme, acquisitions, legal and corporate matters.
Over his 30 year career, Stephen has done pretty much everything in television news.
Stephen ran the TV operations Reuters, and was the launch CEO of Associated Press Television (now APTN) he was also a senior executive in BBC News and Newsgathering for many years.
At DMA Media, Stephen has worked on projects all over Europe and North America. He led a task force that provided a framework for public service broadcasting in Kosovo, working in the province just after the NATO campaign in 1999. After the 2004 Gulf War, Stephen worked in Kuwait and Iraq to assess the outlook for TV and radio. He also provided an Action Report for the United Nations on its media activities.
Senior Account Manager
Bringing all of the project management experience gained from roles in broadcast and major brands, Keely has worked with a broad base of clients such as Royal Mail, Post Office, TfL, GLA and Investec Asset Management. Keely has managed a vast number of digital projects from social media campaigns, website builds and live coverage to broadcasters.
As well as managing client relationships, Keely provides ongoing content strategy support devising content roadmaps and creative proposals. Keely is currently championing 360 and interactive video to clients and devising ways of introducing VR based content to solve internal business problems and target today’s more exacting audiences.
Experienced project manager, launch specialist and senior online video producer, Adrian remains a journalist at heart.
He started his media career on BBC Radio and went on to hold senior TV production roles at SKY News and CNBC. As Features Editor at CNN International, he launched and managed sponsored content programming during a period of rapid growth.
In 2009 he co-founded online video agency Peloton.tv, running projects for major clients such as HP, the CBI and Total GP. He’s also launched channels, online services and training programmes all over the world. Adrian joined DMA after Peloton was acquired in April 2016.
Multi-skilled Matt is a first class director, camera operator, editor and online video strategist.
Over the past 15 years he’s produced and managed video content for television documentaries, live shows, feature films and web content for TV channels such as Channel 4 and production agencies Endemol, Simply Media and VideoJug. Matt also played a leading role in the online video production of the Live 8 global charity event.
A co-founder of Peloton.tv, Matt has created content for Coca-Cola, Samsung and Hiscox. He also offers video strategy to brands advising them on how to plan and execute video campaigns for web. Matt joined DMA in April 2016.
Senior Video Editor
Emma has been DMA’s senior editor for four years, using her unique combination of editorial flair and advanced technical skills to deliver high quality video content.
The consummate all-rounder, she is skilled in camera operation and animation techniques as well as having full command of the edit suite.
Before DMA, Emma’s diverse professional history spans broadcast, corporate and digital productions. Career highlights include daytime shows for the BBC and drama for Talkback Thames. She has also edited content for ITV, Watch and CBS digital.
