Richard Lander: making media commercial

Richard LanderDMA Media’s Director Richard Lander, has for many years advised companies on new media opportunities as well as on public relations and internal communications strategies. He has been a journalist, producer and reporter at various business and City newspapers and magazines, and was News Editor at The Independent and The Independent on Sunday.

He launched Citywire, a highly successful and well-regarded UK investment website and financial publishing group. He has been involved with Citywire as cofounder, director, investor and editorial/business consultant and was instrumental in bringing in a key strategic stake taken by Reuters plc.

Richard also rebuilt the global public relations function for a $3bn division of NCR Corporation between 1996 and 1999, and
established an internal communication website for one of BT’s largest and most ambitious marketing projects

Richard has co-authored and worked on various books including Against the Tide – an investors’ guide to the world’s best fund managers – and Mastering the Internet, one of the first and most practical guides to business use of the internet.
