Rob Beynon: deadlines, launches, commercial results...

DMA Media’s Managing Director Rob Beynon, is a highly experienced media expert with a proven record in broadcasting and new media. He’s developed and launched TV and online services for media companies around the world, as well as commercial and public sector clients in the UK.

One of his projects was in Eastern Europe, where he led a team to provide the news operations for a private TV channel in Romania, which started broadcasting in October 2003. He also visited Iraq at the end of 2004, to carry out an assessment of the Iraqi Media Network (Al-Iraqiya).

In 2004 he was the Project Director for the launch of news on Al Rai TV, a private channel in Kuwait.

Rob has managed launches and provided consultancy for start-ups in India, Hong Kong, Russia, Europe, and the UK, including the full-time DMA Media content team at the Royal Mail Group websites.

Before the formation of DMA Media, Rob was the Director of Programming for CNBC Europe, and the Dow Jones channel European Business News. He became an expert at using print reporters and newspaper resources (including The Wall Street Journal) in an effective manner for television.

Rob was also the launch executive producer of Sky News, and has worked in senior positions for ITN and the BBC.
