One of the country’s leading health and medical websites has launched a high-profile video service with help from DMA Media. Patient.co.uk has begun the process of translating its highly-regarded evidence based content into video.
DMA’s Michelle Maynard produced the first film covering the benefits of the Mediterranean Diet which is now on the site’s homepage at http://www.patient.co.uk
The site receives more than four million unique visitors every month. It offers professional-grade medical information on thousands of topics. DMA Media is working with Patient.co.uk on a continuing series of films.
DMA Media supported the BBC World Service with the highly successful launch of Persian Television earlier this month.
The channel broadcasts news, current affairs and features programmes to more than 100 million Farsi speakers in Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and other parts of the world.
DMA’s Rob Beynon was the Editorial Launch Director and nursed the project over a two-year period from its inception to its launch. Patrick Hubbard worked alongside him assisting with editorial and technical aspects of the channel.
The DMA team advised on everything from the planning and design of broadcast systems and studios, to recruitment of staff and programme line-ups.
Its modern, stylish look and authoritative content was greeted with an overwhelmingly positive reaction from Iranian viewers.

DMA Media and sister-company Enroute Media have launched a brand new TV service for pharmacies. Healthpoint TV is delivering health related content that’s informative, dynamic and up-to-date through large 32’ screens in pharmacies.
DMA and Enroute have developed bespoke hardware, software and media in record time. Healthpoint Europe came to DMA in August 2008. The company was looking for a new direction for its existing in-pharmacy touch screen information kiosks. Just five months later, the new wireless Healthpoint TV network is operational in the first 17 sites.
Enroute developed tailor-made hardware and software that could deliver health information videos and advertising wirelessly to pharmacies nationwide. DMA then developed the distinctive on-screen identity and a regularly refreshed video loop.
Pharmacists say the new system has a positive effect on their customers and boosts sales.
“They have helped drive sales forward because they have created impulse purchases in our customers which probably would never have happened otherwise.”
The Healthpoint TV service is now set to roll out across the country.
