CNBC Pakistan

When global news broadcaster, CNBC franchised its operation into the rapidly growing Pakistani economy, DMA Media was on hand to provide launch support, programming advice and training.

DMA Media’s Rob Beynon and Gary Rogers were based in Karachi for two months in the lead up to the successful start of the 24-hour Urdu-language channel.

The channel launched in 2005, delivering regional and cnbc2 copy3world financial markets news from state-of-the-art facilities in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.  As well as live business coverage, our team helped develop a series of magazine shows aimed at a broader audience dealing with ‘hot’ sectors such as cars, real estate, fashion and personal investment. Last year, we returned to help create further new shows.

On the launch night itself, we produced a live three-hour special outside broadcast from the offices of the Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukut Aziz with an invited audience of business leaders and live guests in Singapore, London, Cairo, Dubai and Jeddah.
