In the midst of the crisis surrounding Benzair Bhutto’s assassination, DMA provided support for the successful launch of the Pakistani all-news channel, Samaa.

Gary Rogers, Nat Low and the rest of the DMA team managed to get the station on air at short notice. Just days later Samaa faced the enormous challenge of covering Pakistan’s elections. In the chaos and confusion of this highly charged poll, DMA delivered a 36-hour live broadcast and gave Samaa its biggest coup. The newly-established channel beat all its established rivals in the race to deliver the first election result.

Samaa had to find its feet as a news channel very quickly in the midst of Pakistan’s biggest story in a decade. At the most crucial time, we were on hand to provide the world-class support that gave Samaa the edge over its rivals.
