Language is no barrier to the News with DMA and The Ray.
DMA Media has signed a new deal with The Ray, based in Dubai, to put the world’s most advanced translation and lip-sync services into news channels all over the world.
The unique AI technology allows channels to provide the news in multiple languages, 24/7 in near real-time, making international versioning available at a fraction of the cost of setting up channels from scratch. The voices and faces of anchors, reporters and guests deliver the news in more than a dozen languages, in perfect lip-sync just a couple of minutes behind the original live transmission.
‘The Ray’s solution is the best in the world and that’s why we want to roll it out into the global market’, said Rob Beynon, DMA CEO. ‘These days there is no reason for languages to be a barrier to channels providing rolling news, live and fully-branded, without delays for translators and without the expense of multi-channel operations.’
DMA Media will be taking The Ray’s application to markets in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and South Asia, using its global contacts and start-up expertise. Languages include English, Arabic, French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Kurdish, and the technology can start with any ‘core’ language and translate into any required output, all within a few minutes.
See for yourself how the news can break any language barrier.
How it Works:
The Ray’s groundbreaking achievement includes advanced technologies such as live dubbing, live voice cloning, real-time lip sync, live graphics translation, subtitling, and deep learning applications, all integrated seamlessly into multilingual live broadcasting.
The AI-powered multilingual solution takes less than a minute to recognise, analyse, and process the speaker's voice, cloning it seamlessly in the translated language. It synchronises the speaker's lip movements with the translated language in a record-breaking time.
By providing content in multiple languages, TV channels can effectively expand their reach to a global audience, increasing viewership, influence, and market share.
DMA’s technology partner is Dubai-based Ray Digital . It began as a digital media service provider and has since evolved into a creative lab focused on continuous research and development. Its proprietary algorithms and AI-driven solutions are designed to meet the unique needs of the Arab region, particularly in television and cinematic content.
